This week in Theatreland

01 Jun This week in Theatreland

It’s a huge week of change coming up in Theatreland. For the first time in 12 years, the Dominion won’t be opening its doors to theatregoers for performances of We Will Rock You. We also say goodbye to sell-out musical In The Heights at the Southwark Playhouse, Thebans at the London Coliseum, Blithe Spirit at the Gielgud, Ushers at the Charing Cross Theatre and Bash Latterday Plays at Trafalgar Studios.

But just as these shows come to the end of their run, there are new and exciting productions opening too. Skylight, starring Carey Mulligan and Bill Nighy opens at the Noel Coward Theatre, Fathers and Sons at the Donmar Warehouse, Confessions of Gordon Brown at the Ambassadors Theatre, and Zanna, Don’t! at the Landor. Alexandra Burke also plays her debut performance in The Bodyguard.

Tip of the week: It’s sold out, but beg, borrow or steal your way into In The Heights before it closes (by that I mean join the queue for returns and keep your fingers and toes crossed!)
