04 Aug Three Howard Goodall Musicals to be Staged at the Union Theatre
It has been announced that between now and Christmas, the Union Theatre will stage three musicals from British composer Howard Goodall CBE.
The Dreaming makes it’s professional London premiere on Wednesday 3rd September, running until Saturday 27th September 2014. Based on Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, the show will be directed by Paul Clarkson with musical direction by David Griffiths, choreography by Helen Rymer and design by Kingsley Hall.
The cast includes: Alastair Hill (Alexander), Joshua Tonks (David), Richard Brindley (Julian), Daisy Tonge (Sylvia), Chris Hancock (Angel), Kayleigh McKnight (Henrietta), Michael Burgen (Cheek), Rachel Flynn (Jennifer), Holly Julier (Charlotte), Simone Murphy (Jack), Matthew Jay Ryan (Jess), David Breeds (Walter Grubb), Alex Green (Bob Fry) and Jordan Ginger (Seth / Mathews).
Woodlanders: Joel Burman, Faye Charlotte Ainley, Hannah Jay Allan, Christina Harris and Hollie Evans.
Next is Love Story, scheduled to run between Wednesday 1st and Saturday 25th October. Direction will be by Sasha Regan with musical direction by Inga Davis-Rutter; casting yet to be announced.
Finally, Girlfriends will run between Wednesday 29th October and Saturday 22nd November 2014, with cast and creatives to be announced.
