In the last week, the official London cast of Love Beyond, a new musical playing for two special nights at Wembley Arena, has been announced.
West End legend, Dave Willetts, will star in the role of ‘Father God,’ alongside a huge cast of 28 other talented actors, singers and dancers including Simon Shorten as ‘Jesus’, Clyde Melville-Bain as the ‘Holy Spirit’, Dougie Carter as ‘Adam’, Natalie Lipin as ‘Eve’ and Peri Olufunwa ‘Satan.’ As well as phenomenal casting, Love Beyond boasts one of the biggest live orchestras of any musical theatre show in London, playing a dramatic and original brand new score.
Willetts was the first person in the world to have played leading roles in both Les Misérables and Phantom of the Opera, and he has starred in a host of West End hit musicals including Cats, Jesus Christ Superstar, Sunset Boulevard, 42 Street and Aspects of Love. Other notable cast members include Simon Shorten, Dougie Carter and Joe Evans (Les Misérables), J Marie Cooper (The Voice 2012), Kevin Jones (Les Misérables In Concert) and Joseph Claus (Phantom Of The Opera).
Playing on 1 and 2 October 2014 at The SSE Arena, Wembley, Love Beyond has been described as powerful and uplifting. It is designed to be a unique presentation unfolding the entire story of the Bible as never before, re-telling the stories of lives touched by God, from Genesis to Revelation, putting the focus on their significance to mankind today.
Music and lyrics are by Richard Haley and Tabitha Webb, set design by Sean Cavanagh, sound design by Mark Payne, lighting design by Ben Cracknell and Musical Direction by Stuart Morley.
The show is directed by West End leading lady Tabitha Webb, with choreography by Annette Aubrey-Bradshaw of Pneumata.
