16 May LOOK AHEAD: Traces at the Peacock Theatre

Sadler’s Wells have announced a run of the award-winning show Traces at the Peacock Theatre this summer, from contemporary circus company, The 7 Fingers.

Combining traditional acrobatic forms with street elements, theatre and contemporary dance, the story of Traces takes place in a make-shift shelter, an unknown catastrophe waiting outside the doors of tarp and gaffer tape. In the face of an impending disaster, creation is the only antidote to destruction.

Featuring a kaleidoscope of performance skills from scaling Chinese poles and balancing on each others’ heads, to skateboarding and playing classical piano, Traces aims to be poetic, humorous and thoughtful in form, making use of film clips, narration and a range of music from rock ‘n’ roll to blues and hip hop.

Here’s a teaser of the cast in action…
