Living Record have announced a new production of August Strindberg’s Creditors, showing at the Brockley Jack Studio Theatre from 24th March. Billed as a “new version of a gripping story,” it presents “an original insight into a shattered marriage, the debts incurred between lovers, and how suddenly these debts can return to haunt us.”
My soul is leaving me…
A glass door revolves in the entrance to a deserted hotel lobby.
Waiting for his wife to return, a young man forges a bond with another guest.
But his new companion hides a dark agenda that threatens to expose all three to the true cost of giving your heart wholly to another.
Neil Smith’s new version of Strindberg’s Creditors reveals how much of ourselves we owe to our past, how much of ourselves we are willing to lose, and how suddenly old debts can come back to haunt us.
…Then I will give you mine to replace it.
Venue: The Brockley Jack Studio Theatre
Dates: 24th March – 11th April 2015
