27 May Cast Update – City of Angels at Donmar Warehouse
It was announced today that Samantha Barks is joining Hadley Fraser and Rosalie Craig in City of Angels at the Donmar Warehouse.
Barks has previously been cast as Les Misérables’ Éponine in both the Queen’s Theatre and the 2012 film, and has played Nancy off-and-on in the UK tour of Oliver! since 2011. She also starred as Velma Kelly in the 2013 production of Chicago at the Hollywood Bowl, and has been working on a number of films including The Christmas Candle, Dracula Untold and The Devil’s Harvest.
The musical by Cy Coleman, David Zippel and Larry Gelbart will be directed by Josie Rourke, with Barks playing Mallory/Avril alongside Fraser’s Stine and Craig’s Gabby/Bobbi, opening 5th December 2014.
